Pooltester

Pooltesters are mainly used in the wellness sector and, even if the name doesn’t hint at it, they are also used for the analysis of drinking and industrial waters. In many countries, for example, drinking and industrial waters must be disinfected with chlorine which requires that they be subjected to consistent controls. hotels worldwide already use the Water-i.d.® Pooltester for guest swimming pools, and also to determine the quality of their drinking and general waters. Water-i.d.® Pooltesters are even used by well-known international aid organizations to also control drinking water plants in crisis regions. Here too, people rely on Water-i.d.®’s quality standards.

Reagents

Reagent tablets offer the highest level of assurance that always the exact amount of reagent needed will be used. Most marketed tablet types, such as DPD for determining Chlorine in water, are regulated by strict international standards aimed at guaranteeing that all tablets with that designation (e.g. DPD 1) can also be used in all designated measurement devices made by any manufacturer. Water-i.d.® devices and reagents can therefore be combined with other manufacturers’ reagents, and this is also true the other way around. One of the questions discussed often is the difference between RAPID and Photometer tablets. Basically, both detect the same content but are different in one important point: RAPID tablets contain a material that “bursts” the tablet, e.g. chemical pulp that expands upon contact with water. This “burst material” would, however, disrupt the light ray of the photometer (suspended particles) which is why RAPID tablets should never be used with electronic devices such as photometers.

Comparator

Water-i.d.® comparators provide you with access to professional water analysis. While these comparators are also, like Pooltesters, visual measurement devices, the arrangement of the measured colour to the scale – and the determination of the measurement value – is much more precise with comparators because the measurement is compared on a rotating colour scale (colour disc). there are no measurement results “between” individual colour scales. ergonomic design and high-quality materials also simplify measurements. By using the adapter that is supplied with each comparator, the sample path length can be extended and additional ranges can be measured.

Balanced Water Kits

Balanced Water Kits by Water-i.d.® are a perfect matching combination of the Comparator method and Mini-Kits, such as the tablet count method and the turbidity method, covering the most important water parameters in one kit. Depending on the equipment, the set allows the measurement of chlorine and pH using the comparator method, alkalinity, calcium hardness, and cyanuric acid using the tablet count with the Nessler (turbidity method). The summary of these parameters in a set is the handiness and the needs of specific users, such as the boiler industry, owed.

Photometer

Photometry is a method of analysis that is often used. Whether public bathhouse, food and beverage industry, laboratories, or industrial disinfection - are everywhere photometer used for the determination of concentrations in solutions. The PrimeLab of Water-i.d®. is the world's first photometer for the entire visible color spectrum with only one light source and only one sensor. The unique sensor of JENCOLOR, combined with the 10-year experience of Water-i.d.® in water analysis, this innovation made possible. In addition, the PrimeLab / JENCOLOR sensor measures with a hitherto unknown devices with photometer accuracy. The Bluetooth® technology (select models) and a programmed specifically for the PrimeLab PC software make it easy to manage measurement and customer data.

Test strips

Test strips for the measurement of water values are enjoying greater popularity, because they provide a simple and rapid method for quick analysis. When compared to the visual measurements of the Pooltester, there is naturally a significant disadvantage in the size of the coloured field and thus in the possibility of making an exact comparison on the colour scale. The shelf-life of the Test Strips is substantially less than that of the reagent tablets that are being used in the Pool Testers. Yet this is compensated for by the simplicity of use, the ability to obtain rapid measurements, and optimal pricing.

Bacteria testing

The need for the provision of certain types of bacteria is sometimes required by law, but on the other hand, given generally for health reasons, as well as to disinfect and to be used to vote on certain pathogens targeted. With the Water-i.d.® Bacterial tests, you have a simple, reliable, and cost-effective product on hand as Coliform bacteria to detect targeted. Automotive application, "Dip Slide tests" among other things to test for bacteria in water tanks, with industrial users such as the leather industry, but also for surface measurement, e.g. in swimming pools.

Electronic Meter

Without requiring additional reagents (tablets, drops, etc.), the Electronic Meters offer an absolutely professional way to measure various water values; such as, for example, conductivity, salinity (total dissolved solids), and pH value. The established value is displayed on the device within seconds after dipping the device in sample liquid. The sensitive electrodes, however, should always be kept damp. They should becalibrated at regular intervals, preferably before each measurement, by using a reference fluid. Both the batteries and the electrodes can be changed. The working range of the Electronic Meter is between 0 - 50°C; depending on the model temperature can be compensated for by determining the measurement value.

FlexiTester ®

Water-i.d.® FlexiTester® provides you with access to semiprofessional water analysis. While FlexiTester®s are -like Pooltesters- visual measurement devices, the arrangement of the measured colour to the scale – and the determination of the measurement value – is much more precise with FlexiTester®s because the measurement is compared to an ongoing colour scale on a parameter-stick. There are no measurement results “between” individual colour scales. Ergonomic design and high-quality materials also simplify measurements. So far, more than 37 different parameter methods can be tested with the same basic model. Just a different parameter-stick and reagents are needed to extend your FlexiTester® kit.

Mini-Kits

Some Water-i.d.® Mini Kits are based on the tablet counting method, in which tablets are added to the water until the colour changes in a defined way. The amount of tablets added is entered into a formula to determine the measured value. The innovative Water-i.d.® tablet push-through blisters simplify the procedure. In the turbidity method, the water sample becomes turbid after the reagent is added. The intensity of the turbidity determines the value. In the yes/no test method, a distinction is made between 2 different colours. Depending on which colour develops, the parameter is present in the sample or not. Both the titration and turbidity methods and the yes/no test are simple and proven measuring methods for determining water values.

Incubators

The definition of a dipslide is a means of testing the microbial content of liquids or surfaces. It consists of a plastic carrier bearing a sterile culture medium which can be dipped in the liquid or pressed onto the surface to be sampled. It is then incubated for 48 hours at a specific temperature to allow microbial growth. The resulting microbial colonies are estimated by reference to a chart. If the treatment program is effective, the dipslide count will 4 be consistently low (<10 ). If a high result is obtained, the test should be repeated and the treatment program checked. Water-i.d.® dipslides for bacterial testing are provided as 10 dipslides in a box. Water-i.d.® offers a variety of incubators along with the dipslide range.
